Exhaust

When I got my beta it had an exhaust leak were the manifold had cracked. We needed this fixed for inspection so we went with a exhaust system through International Auto. Of course some parts were no longer available (what's new?). We got the headers and center peice. The rear exit muffler is not available. This header was a 4-2-1 (1&4 and 2&3 collectors) header by ansa as well as the center pieces that has a free flow chamber for sound control. We had a pipe bent for the rear exit with a 2" dual tip monza on the end. I was pleased with this system and it gave improved top end as it is free flowing.

The sound is very nice too, not too loud but still has some bite. The ANSA system is not catalytic ready so if your state requires a cat for your year car then you will need it too be welded in to the back of the header piper. If going with the header make sure that all your motor mounts are in good order and replace all exhaust hangers ( they all should be still available or have suitable replacements. I did not change mine and after hitting a bump the rear center one broke dropping the exhuast down a bit. This strain caused the header too crack at the 2 to 1 weld. I had to take the header off and have it rewelded. Before putting it back on I wraped it with exhaust wrap as the header will make your engine compartment melt ( as well as your Ziebart if you have it ). One roll of wrap will do.
