Q: How difficult would it be to replace the subframe rubbers, the ones that locate at the six points of contact, I feel these are in need of replacing.

A: Subframe rubbers can be easily replaced as long as the subframe is separated enough from the car body. These rubbers are very long lasting and rarely perish. The front left one is prone to damage by engine oil but it is not difficult to replace it. Far more common is the need to replace the engine rubber mounting blocks usually damaged by oil leaks. This is a comparatively easy job since it entails jacking up the engine while being very careful that it can be lifted without damaging any components.

Another problem area I think I have solved is the mounting of the rear of the subframe. I had some creaking sounds coming from this area on both sides so I removed the lower rubber bushing and replaced with new, carefully tightening the subframe back, no more creaking sounds now, so of course I am happy.
